COLD WAR
The war between USA & USSR after the World War-II is called the "COLD WAR". It started just after WW-II in 1945 and lasted after 24 years in 1989. This war was different from other wars as there are no weapons used in this war. The base of this war was distrust between USA & USSR. As these two countries are allies in World War-II but due to certain reasons they can never be friends. Few of the main reasons are as follows.1- The system of both the countries are opposite to each other.
2- In Afghanistan the American supplied the rebel Afghans after USSR invaded in 1979.
Americans never involved themselves physical therefore avoiding themselves from a direct clash with Russia.
Following are the difference between the system of both countries.

- Freedom of media
*USSR
- No elections or no fixed elections
- Autocratic system / Dictatorship
- Communist
- Everybody helps every body
- Poor economic base
- Society controlled by *NKVD
- Total concorship
NKVD = Secret Police of USSR
